Even in the farfetched event that we got mods, they should only be picked by Glitchless and not involve any kind of popularity contest. Or you can add a quest that lets you mute someone for 1k ash :P

Generally if you follow the rules there isn't alot that can go wrong unless you get stupid and trust some douchewit with your 4 MuRs..... or other things lawlz. I've had so many real life threats made against me on rwk but I always give them my address and I have yet to see one person from rwk trying to kill me.
So if someone threatens you, don't feel threatened, and if you want to spend money on rwk make sure it's no hair off your back if you lose it.

yeh i agree maybe there should be mods tht can only mute or soemthing
as i mean there are these n00bs tht purely come into chat just to spam it
and it really is annoying and if they dont spam enough for the filter to catch them
they can just keep going
though it shouldnt be based on popularity
as i recon jeff should chose he he was giving power to not players
though they could make suggestions of good candites

imo mods should not have any more power than muting, bans (including 3 day bans) should be under the sole discretion of Jeff et al. Mods should definitely be allowed to submit names of players which they feel should be banned, but the decision should be left to Jeff.

Yeah as we can see there's already a lot of people having a fit about mods in the first place, so muting should be there limit. An hour mute is all you really need most of the time.

Moderators made sense in the early days of the game when we had no ignore list and players could "stretch the screen" to annoy others. With those issues addressed long ago, all the game needs at this point is a longer ignore list and one that is persistent, or has the option to make some names so. As others have pointed out, Glitchless has repeatedly had problems when it gave power to player moderators and doing so again will likely just cause Jeff more headaches. It's understandable that he has abandoned that aspect of the game.

if we arent going to have mods or anyone enforce the rules then lets just get rid of the rules. what do you all think of that? it's basically the same thing just stated a different way.

You guys keep mentioning all these that would 'abuse power'. There are some of us, that are fair to everyone. And accidents like posting /a stuff in chat happens...A one-time occurrence should not deem a mute. I'm sure Jeff could find some MODS that could be trusted with the responsibility.

I doubt jeff will ever go back to having mods, and even good ones abused powers. there was a time I healed a beast got muted for an hour at hour change I was "ya! unmuted!" and was muted again, simply that is abuse of power.

since beast healing mutes have been in effect, i dont think mods have had mute powers. chalk that one up to Glitchless being abusive... seems pretty typical. no mods have abused power more than glitchless and you all dont complain about that.

My dad told me that on party poker, if somebody is abusive, you can right click on their name and mute them until they come back in. This would suck for being on tournements as if you leave, you lose the tourney. Something similar on here could be worked out I'm sure, click on their name and select "mute" and it multes them til hour change. Of course, people would probably mute eachother and nobody would chat anymore.

on party poker the "mute player" is an ignore player, it doesnt mute them just you dont see what they type.

I hope for the sheer sanity of rwk that the "popular vote" is never implemented to pick MODs.

no one is fair in rwk, everyone has their own biasts, "favorites" etc. jeff would do better to get people who've never played rwk to be MODs.
