Forum Mods Needed

[Glitchless]

As the forums inevitably grow we'll likely be needing some trustworthy moderators. We'll be keeping an eye out for helpful, friendly, level-headed posters who participate with regularity on the forums to be possible moderators. But don't ask to be one... don't call us we'll call you.

What would these moderators do might I ask?

Regardless of what your teachers say, there are dumb questions, and yes that was one of them.

he never asked to be a moderater..... he asked WHAT a moderate's responsiblities would be.

And you don't understand how to read. You do realize that asking what a MODERATOR does it one of the dumbest things you can ask. But anyway, lets not spam teh thr34d

Since no one bothered to actually answer, a moderator's job is to enforce the rules. To name an example, if someone went ahead and made 5 spam threads, they may all be deleted/locked by a mod.

I know perfectly well how to read, apparently you have a small problem with it however. Jeff said there are no stupid questions, and instead of helping him you just start attacking and calling people dumb. You forget a lot of people who are new might not have any clue what a moderator does, maybe its their first MMORPG, you don't know. I think you should spend more time helping instead of questioning others intelligence. Furthermore, nothing that has been posted in this thread could even be considered as spam.

I merely pointed out to eye that the other guy had a serious question, which you answered (i was actually waiting for jeff to respond to the guy) then he (eyemrdy or however you spell it) attacked me and i responded, all relevant to the persons original question. Opinions and helping someone isn't spam, it's kind of the whole reason why there is a forum to begin with. Now can everyone stop with the attacking and do something constructive?

Ok, let me make you a scheme.
1.Subject A makes an announcement.
2.Subject B makes a question that is partially related.
3.Subject C makes fun of B for asking something that's known by anyone who's been around on the Internet for a while.
4.Subject D makes a comment on C's post, which in fact is not a good response as D doesn't seem to have understood the other's point.
5. C attacks D for the reason posted above.
6. Subject E responds B's question.
7. More rambling that is in fact not related to the question, the answer, or the original post.

Please explain to me how anything except for number 1, 2, and 6 is relevant to the subject at hand. I fail to understand. We can go on as long as needed or until the thread is locked or we're disallowed to post here if it's found to be too much spam.

The best part, RF, is that anyone who pays any attention knows that I've called Jeff for the two aforementioned reasons I posted, hence the phone call comment. Lrn2reed n00b

subject D was only trying to help subject B as he seemed lost, subject D didnt see a point to subject C not answering subject B in the first place... as he obviously hasnt " been around the internet for any length of time". Subject C then attacked subject D for clarifying that subject B must obviously be a noob and actually be quite serious about not knowing what a mod does. Subject E figures he is somehow helping and joins subject C on a pointless name calling stance against subject D.

channy is always in the most interesting conversations. Mods also report rulebreaking to administrators in case serious action is needed such as suspension or banning.
