Acumen Issues

Restrict Acumen entry to 1-2 Chars per IP address.
A point was brought up today how you basically have to cap to have a shot to get into Acumen which is somewhat sensible since you won't win without being epic but takes away the purpose of Acumen for everyone else.

With the whole game locking down for Acumen, it should involve more than 5-6 people with 10 chars each.

Not only is the sheer number unfair (you get Ash even if you lose, so people are getting thousands of free Ash just by relogging their capped chars) but it bumps out legitimate players with only 1 char who may be just a level shy of the lowest alt.

The game favors those who spend the most, it has always and will always and I cannot argue with that. You put in the money/time you deserve something. However being handed 5 chars when people quit and bumping players who want to enjoy this monthly event is just unfair. Multiple SoSe/SoS chars per IP is already exploiting the Corruption update to the point of it being worthless. At least make Acumen not exploited for Ash and ruined for people.

This will never happen. Acumen is based off of time spent on the game, not money spent. If I have taken the time to cap and transfer 6 chars then I will enter 6 chars.

Second of all it can not be inforced. Nothing stops me from throwing a quad port NIC card into my comp and using 6 IP's lol

It takes nearly no time to cap/transfer if you throw enough money at it. Anyone with a big wallet can place in Acumen easily.

Not to mention people quit and give away/sell chars, making it more ridiculous.

It is just lame when the same people are in /ann every month. Maybe not the same chars, but the chance of the same people placing monthly is far higher than not.

the same people in ./ann are because of suits not because of the amount of chars. and yes, its not fair they they swap a 16 D*Dev suit from char to char and win is not fair, but life lives on, if youw anty that opertunity then spend the $2.5K, if not then play the game at what its worth.

Also you can't win monthly. any char that wins acumen can not enter for 12 months.

Has anybody talked about locking the suit on the winner of accumen?

when you win accumen the items you have equiped are permenently equiped until you can enter accumen again. It sounds harsh but they can still beast and nuke and wear the suit for the rest of the time. I would like feedback on it and idk if i should start a new thread about it?

I think it would even out the suits a little more. people might not use 16 D*Devs because of the loss of the trading ability until the char can enter accumne again.

I think that is AMAZING but not "equipped" just "bound to char" since it still stops sending. Even people with a lot of D*Devs are going to want other options for beasting or skilling or whatever.

Most people swap their multiple DRC's into a 16 piece D*Dev suit for acumen. This idea only hinders larger players. And what are you going to complain about when they spread their D*Devs 4 on each char and still kick your ass?

Yes, I have never won so it is hard for me to imagine. If I won in 16 devoids then I would not care.....I would still be able to beast in devoids.

Has anybody won accumen in 16 devoids?

if you won accumen i would think the suit you have on would be good enough to do anything in?

Um, if people won with 4 D*Devs they deserve it. If they win with 16, 10:1 they don't. The fact that this game is DOMINATED by a select few who completely own everything makes doing anything of note, worthless.

Actually on server 1 last month several of the people with large numbers of chars didn't show and a level 12 and a level 200 something both got in buecause alot of the other people who could have got in instead didn't think they would because they never do and didn't even log... if you like check the list for last month on s1 the level 200 something char was named Hypersanity you can log s1 and pm her if you like and ask her what level she was... I forget who's mule the level 12 char was but it did get in. This month I will be attempting to log my low level chars

you dont even need a **** load of D*Devs and i know from experiance the last victory of KROM he had no D*DEvs. and ibkee999 won with 3. figure out a good relic combo get some stats that are decent for dueling and test. many people place. and a few win with out 16 D*Devs. acumen is a lot of luck who knows you might win with a red card.....
