Default Updated Info Please

Can we please have an update on what is being done about the lag issues?

We are all feeling like nothing is being done, or that it's not important to inform us.

Please give us an update on what is being done if anything.

Thanks

The servers are being monitored and are not showing any connectivity issues.

can you maybe give us an idea on how server 1 lags horribly yet server 2 does not? Nod doesn't lag either, but S1 does. Is server 1 on it's own apart from server 2?

I'm not sure its a connectivity issue but more like an internal problem. We are getting an effect we call chat puke. where all of a sudden you will get 70-80 lines of chat reposted in your chat window. It willl clear out all pms you were having with someone or any bezz or crafting spam or drops anything like that. and you will get just 70-80 lines of chat refreshed on your screen. sometiems it happens when you just logged in you will see a large portion of chat pop up on your screen. I have only noticed this to occur during times that I was experiencing lag. And I know its not my computer or something between me and RWK because as I have stated I do not see the lag on Server 2 only on Server 1.

Jeff, my PC is tuned for Perfomance and I dropped 30ms ping to websites through Hardware updates, I know run a 20-30ms connection to various sites yet maintain a 120-180 (Depending on how severe lag is) to Rwk (S1).

I've replaced hardware, retuned the PC for performance as well as have a new high speed 2gig router put in and increassed my ram/memory size x4 to make things smoother. Now don't insult me by saying this is a connection issue because it aint. Server 1 lags, Server 2 Doesn't, Nod well I don't know as I don't play it but I hear that's fine to.

fix..the..lag..please

The problem consistently occurs on S1 at the same time there is no lag issue with S2, so looking at connectivity seems like a red herring. Are the people who run the servers looking at whether it's a hardware performance problem specific to the machine running server 1? Is that possibility even being entertained as one worth investigation?

How long are read writes taking? iowait?

root@Server1 [~]# iostat
how fast are the harddrives? 10k or 15k SCSI?

It doesnt look like a network issue on S1, I'm thinking a harddrive is probably going bad.
is rwk set up on a raid array?
