I am so tired of people complaining about other betting durring poker. Thats the point of poker is to bet.

winning ash bonuses by exploiting poker and not betting any ash is just wrong...

Ash bonuses when the pot is 0 should be removed. or the bonuses be calculated off of the pot and not a fixed rate.

How does it make a difference whether they're betting or not? If they do bet and get a bonus hand, how does it make a difference? Wow, they get a whole 1 ash for 100 seconds of play if they don't bet. I don't think the poker system should be changed.

However. The idiots who think that anyone who does bet is a noob need a good slap in the face. As Brian said, the point of poker is to bet. If you're playing by yourself not betting, and someone starts to bet and you dont' like it, get over it. I don't mind when someone else starts betting, just saves me the effort of having to click fold to get my ash, it autofolds for me.

Already added to the poker deal. I suggested an Ante along with the 100mil gold to play. That way the 'won the full pot of 0' will never occur. Also help out on betting by knowing how many people are playing.

An "ante" is a stupid idea.
However I agree that no one should win a pot of 0.

To fix this, if NO ONE bets on the flop the whole hand should be canceled right there, and you wait the 70+ seconds left for a new hand.
Betting PRE-flop is just dumb. Wasting ash on a "chance" for a decent flop is pointless. Once the flop hits however, there should be a Bet or full Fold.

This is still a continued problem, Can we have atleast a min pot of even 1 to have an ash bonus, have to pay atention and if you have an ash winning hand, bet atleast 1... This will also prevent macro/bots that just click play since there is no security check on poker.

Wow, so with 0 ash bets you still get Ash Bonus? When I have a hand (say pocket Aces) and nothing comes up (say Queen 2 3 7 10) and I hit nothing, I am told I lose but receive 2 ash.

But if you had the same hand and the table had 3 Kings, you'd get the Full House, without even hitting raise?

yes, if nobody bet and you had the winning hand with an ash bonus you win a pot of 0 plus your ash bonus.

omg could you whine more about poker... you are as bad if not worse than the people who bitch because someone starts betting... that is by far not the worst reason I have seen people threatend in this game... seriously get over your self. I mean **** I saw someone start dropping tects the other day on anyone who didn't say hi to him in chat... this whole game is filled with a bunch of attention starved little kids in grown up skin...

Poker would be much more interesting if it had a risk/reward balance more like real gambling. Right now you lose 100 mil gold, worthless for virtually all players, and risk only 10 ash per hand at most with the potential to win over 5k. It generates a lot of ash at no cost to the players and the game is so limited it has no scope for much player involvement. It would be better if the ante was 10 ash per hand, no gold, to make playing cost something for each hand. The max bet should be at least 100 ash, and no bonus hands. Anything won would come from other players, making it a zero sum game that doesn't reduce the value of the ash won by constantly adding more to the system. The reward for winning is the size of the pot, so playing alone has no value. If any bonus is left at all it should only apply for a royal flush since that is genuinely uncommon. Players would have more flexibility in their betting and might even be able to do some meaningful bluffing to make things more lively and exciting. And for all the objections about newbies being closed out of poker, that's just the price one pays for being new and the incentive to advance and play with the big kids.

I think it would be enough if the 100 million everyone pays goes into the pot as ash from the start(so 1 ash per player that is playing poker).

That way, it adds a bit of a bluffing factor back in the game because there will always be a reward if you bet and nobody else bets(which is not the case as it is now - betting and nobody betting with you equals getting nothing, and winning the hand when nobody bets gives you nothing as well).

Changing the ante from 100 mil gold to 1 ash is no change at all. That "change" wouldn't be worth the time it takes to edit the game. Making poker interesting would require adding some risk to the betting process. The current design is just an easy way to make some extra ash without having to think while playing.

Without having to code too much if ash bonuses were made a multiple factor of the pot(pot*2 FH pot*5, etc) or just make there be a minimum pot of x for ash bonuses to be awarded.
