Protip: RF never spent anything, I made thousands of dollars, and i still win at life. Also jeff has said multiple times hotkeying is allowed so stop your bitching. We wouldnt have to use hotkeys if he didn't fail at updates and made **** more player friendly. Think about this too... why would the price of gold go up? Sure there's more banned, but what was banned was NEVER SOLD so it never had an impact on the gold prices at all. Last tip: apparently / commands dont count towards the hourly action limit (big surprise since jeff always ****s up updates and it never does what's intended) so i could just as easily go back to doing 50k+ actions per hour for things like alching out and whatnot. WAY TO FAIL YOU FỦCKTARDS

Ok, Icankillmeph, you are retarded.

First, Jeff has already clarified that it is intended to be per character, not per IP. He obviously realises that people will change characters once they reach the limit, and has decided that this will not affect what he was trying to do. I'll leave it up to you to decide what that was.

Second, if you choose to do nothing while playing and waste your time, that's fine. But a lot of people want to play time-efficiently so that they can still have a life, and friends, as you so aptly put it. By the way, how does coming on for one hour of bezzing your plex each night and bezzing 2k mean that you have no life and no friends?

Next, hotkeys are "fair". Jeff has confirmed that they are allowed, and yet again using them has nothing to do with having friends or not. If you choose not to use them, that's fine, noone will make you. But don't go complaining about people who do. You can use them if you feel like it too.

well scott if you read my post it said people want to play now. did you miss that part. more players= more demand of gold. in most cases. hows that for economics? People didnt want to play because of you guys. you had to much power.

They weren't the only guys with power in the game. In fact, there are other groups around that have almost as much as they did.

some reason I find it hard to believe theres another group that came close to the assets hades had before the bans... I mean hades had over a quad of gold+ I think to spare... and it wasn't all tied up in walls / kingdoms... so I mean now that they lost so many characters with kingdoms that had the gold and so forth... maybe theres a group now out there that was a massing stuff secretly who knows.

Fourth, the combination of these two ideas was to address the point Cole brought up, that people are hitting the 4k action limit through normal means by doing highly repetitive actions with high Haste skill. With the hourly action limit in place, Haste is not that important unless you're bezzling and using two or three characters per hour. It makes the update have closer to its intended effect: putting a limit on how far you can go with hotkeys.

Long post short... Yes, those skills I mentioned would benefit the hotkey power players. But they would also benefit everyone else, especially those who were unintentionally hurt by this update and go a long way to repairing the damage done to them.

I think it's already been said a couple of times that Jeff didn't care about people using multiple characters, so obviously the actions he wanted to stop can only be done from a single char (ie. the character that's holding a plex doing lots of rune buying or alching each hour)

As for the ashing skill, I had ignored that as I had no opinion. I will now though; ash is already easy enough to get. Darkharvest increases ashing by 45% and you can ash an upgrade in a little over a week if you try.

As for surface, I ashed my dungeon on surface, all it takes is perseverance, although it will be harder now without mentors, however if I'd bought ash it would have been quicker too.

Your last point I agree with in a way. If there is a limit at all (which I don't believe there should be, as as far as I know the only guy taking it too far was Scott, who now doesn't play), it should not be able to be hit without doing insane amounts of actions such as the aforementioned. Insane is not 4k but more like 10k would be a reasonable limit. You would be hard pressed to hit 10k actions on a character doing anything but using something like 4 windows and efficient hotkeys. In a perfect world Jeff would have made the update so that it does not affect lower and middle class players but stops the higher end players taking it too far but the line has to be drawn somewhere, and in this instance it's at 4k. We can't make it change so just make do with what we have.
