Jeff could just make it so it has the desired effect, that only those who hotkey and do huge amounts of actions per hour are affected, instead of anyone who plays efficiently, by raising the cap to somewhere where that effect would happen.

An idea, though maybe not one I would have liked, is to make all commands have a delay. There's already a limit to how many times you can move, attack monsters, etc because of the purple bar and 10 seconds. /pe /da /ref are the ones that let you do 30k an hour because there's no delay, so it's basically as fast as you can submit them. Or come up with a novel way of reducing the insane amount of repetitive actions players have to do *cough alching a quad for an update that lasted a few months*

The fact that Glitchless had to start making exceptions for nuking the day after it was implemented goes to show the 4k action limit was probably not very well thought out which would fall in line with most updates

Couple ideas:

-Perseverance skill: Raising this skill allows you to do more actions per hour. At 99, you can do an extra 500 per hour; at 125, an extra 1,000.

-Destruction skill: Raising this skill gives you a chance to get more ash by destroying items. 1-99: chance at 2 ash per burn, with 99 being 100%. 100-125, 3 ash, with 125 being 100%.

Defeats the purpose of the update, the people who can skill them up to high skills will be the ones that Jeff was trying to inhibit.

actually, i like Matts idea. either way it goes, to get those said skills to that point, would take alot of effort on someones part. fastest i have ever gotten a skill to 125 from 0 was 3 days.
and if one should care about having extra movements, or ash per hour, they have one of 3 choices. borrow DsDevs from people, or buy them from others, or make them, via ashing, or buying the ash from jeff.

It doesn't require that much effort and to get a skill from 0-125 only takes about 6-7 hours at that maximum with a DsDev suit and that's only if you get horrible luck. You could do it in 5 or less, I have.

it'd probably take 3 days now since there's an action cap haha. i always averaged about 15 minutes per skill, but that was doing around 10k action an hour probably. this just made me realize haste doesn't really matter as much anymore either. the 4k action limit is much lower than the haste limit. this was already sort of mentioned in this thread, but nice job thinking that out jeff.

Haste still makes longer delay actions take a lot less

Smart dude, post in forums that you use macros (10k actions is ****ing rediculous), besides the 4k actions per char really teaches the ****ing macroers like yourself. (maybe change it to 5k tops), And i think it should be a 4k (or 5k) actions per hour per ip address, cause most people have more than 1 character anyway, and would probabley switch when the limit is reached, and if you need to do more than 4k or 5k actions per hour then you play this game way too much and you are a damn loner and need to go make some friends.

What does having to do more than 4-5k actions have to do with needing to make friends? If anything, bezzing faster allows yourself to have more time during the day, instead of having to bezz your kds over a multiple of hours. It'd be retarded to have to bezz your kds over a 4 hour or more time period for something that would only take 2 hours tops if you're going slow.

That's not what i'm saying. If you seriously have to use macros and hotkeys then you are a loner and can't play the game fairly. And people who use hack for games LIKE THIS (in my experience at least) are loners w/ no friends. Plus this update was probabley made to stop any single person from gaining too much power, or at least slow them down.

That's a first you gave the clan Hades a persona like an actual individual calling it a he... Heh

Well technically if Jeff wanted to do things to make everything even again he would just wipe the server.. But that would piss too many people off / be really shady business practice. That or have a constant resetting every few months / years.... But then that would make those really expensive precious items people pay for or character upgrade they pay for kind of pointless. Or if it was keep whatever upgrades you acquire on the character at level 1 after reset in terms of items you'd just run into the people who have those items / buy the upgrades have a significant jump on the rest. To be extremely competitive you have to either spend a lot of cash on this game or spend a lot of time ashing for everything. Either way who knows.

Hmm so yah I go read now lol

w.e.
The point I wanted to make originally is that there are some people who spend way to much time on this game. It's just a game, and it will never make you succeed in life, i'll just point and laugh at you when you become homeless because you were a video game addict.
