might just get laughed at for even saying this, but how about something new added to the g/f system. what if after, say, 4 or 5 g/f's you are allowed to choose to "marry" one and gain a small increase from their benefits. you could still keep all the other g/f's (what big powerful mogul doesnt have a mistress or two or 500?), but the one you marry gives you more than she already does. of course there would be the /divorce option if you ever wanted to change, but it would come at the price of losing her altogether and having to reaquire her, just like you would if you /dump all your g/f's. for example, lets just say you decide to marry Dark Harvest, she would not only give a chance for more ash, but would always give you anywhere from 1 to now 20 ash. so instead of just getting 1 or 20 ash, you could get 3, or 7, or 13, you get the idea. Rezithis would increase her resistances by another 10% or whatever, you get the idea. just something i was thinking about the other day that might add some more twists or make things a little more interesting.

This has been done in other games. I don't think it would work well here / too exploitable.

alright, i'm going to give my detailed and updated version now on how each g/f would be improved if chosen as a wife

First off, the prerequisite to choosing a wife is you must have at least 5 g/f's already in order to become eligible to get married. Second, to get married, you must go see A Citizen in a special KD, lets say Stallions Pub, in case a sur char with no access/lungs can get a wife too if they meet the first requirements. Thirdly, like real life, getting married isnt cheap, and it will cost you say, 100b and 1k ash to upgrade one g/f to a wife, and if you are a man of bigamy, the price increases with each wife 50%. Of course divorce is such an expensive thing that it will cost you half of what you spent to get married in the first place.

Ok, so there are the requirements/penalties for getting married, now here are the bonuses to having a wife.

Revivia - success rate goes up from 1 in 10 to 1 in 7
Transcend - increases leveling speed from 2x to 4x, no change to DRC
Vampeyes - increases modded dur by 4x instead of 2x
Rezizthis - triples innate class resistance and gives Archer/Theurg and Theurgal Diviniators a 10% resistance to void and mesmerization
Dark Harvest - 10% chance to drop extra ash instead of 5%, plus the icreases the drop to 20 ash instead of 10
Greenlust - 100x gold rush on sur and 1000x on other planes, plus a 10% skill boost instead of 5%
Collectia - increases interest by 20% instead of 10%
Silence - not sure what to do with this one actually, if anyone has any ideas with how to increase her, post a reply.

So thats my detailed version of it, lemme know what you think

Only thing this does is
1. easyer for newbs to level with x4
2. easyer for newbs to get ash
3. more interest more gold in market worse market.

I don't see how this benefits the game at all?

well the only real way to make the market better is if jeff cleared off all the planes and runes and made people start over again, which he isnt going to do. besides, these numbers are just my estimates to what i think should be done, if jeff implemented them im sure he would make the numbers fit so that it doesnt cause a big problem. besides, i dont really mind if the market prices go down any, would make things cheaper for me to buy and make me more willing to buy.

and one reason market is doing so poorly is because people just give away their unwanted crap items to noobs for free and then they sell it for a fraction of what its worth. if people really wanted the market back up, they would stop just giving stuff away and make noobs work for their gear.

last time I've checked I havnt seen anyone give newbs items that matter... are you calling an ash item an item of value? or am I missing out on the demo+ give aways?

Only thing this update does it make the game easyer, which in the end helps nobody.

no what im talking about is the people who give away godly items, or even 1b ash items away. i know most people dont care about it, but it would force the noobs to work for their gear and not just receive it for free. used to have to pay 1b or 2b just for a death spike, now its free to first blue pm just bc ppl cant be bothered with the time it takes to sell it. and i understand that its bc of how easy it is and cheap it is for major players to make them and they just drop off beasts and such, but if you dont want to sell it, ash it instead of giving it away.

thinking about what i said earlier on the plane erasing, i think it would be the best idea ever for jeff to do. sure people would get mad that they are losing so much, but they can rebuild and in the meantime, it would drive the price of gold back up to $10/tril or even $20/tril, and it might even drive the cost of high end gear down bc of how little gold is out on the market. obviously no plex holder would agree to such a notion as they would lose lots of potential $$$, but honestly, gold is so easy to attain now, who is really buying it? i dont have a huge plex or anything, but im willing to lose all i have so that the market can benefit from it. in the long run i think its worth it.
