Needing a better understanding of the game.

Leveling is taking me hours. Literally.

I've been playing this game for probably about a week, not solid playing, but a substancial amount of time.

I'm level 0 with about 1/2 my purple bar filled. What am I doing wrong? I'm constantly attacking, here.

Also, what equipement is reccomended, what exactly do relics do, and why do my spells never cast.

take a look at /help and also take a look at jimcav.com especially the reaching level 10 quickly guide at Getting Started in Race War Kingdoms, a Newbie Guide. If you use jimcav's site to assist you please type "/mentor jimcav" anytime between level 1 and 5 to thank him.

Relics have special effects, some boosting your stats and others causing damage, there is list of them in /help that explains their effects.

If your spells aren't casting, by which I assume you mean they are fizzling, then you don't have enough cnc. Boost that stat a bit and you should start to hit the monsters again.

If you're constantly attacking but not growing levels, you are doing one of two things.. attacking something too easy and getting no exp, or attacking something too hard and not killing it. Try to remedy this situation by just killing the hardest thing you can take down in one shot consistently.
