im getting quite a bit of time outs too, although the tracert looks alright to me, i dont understand why i always get some lag on s1, sometimes its alright, and sometimes its horrible;

Always do a couple tracerts if its intermit, should be able to get one with some sueful data.

At the time I took this tracert I was experiencing no measurable lag at all.
Everything was working fine and it does not differ in any significant way that I see from the one I posted in the other thread where I was experiencing timeouts from chatting

I will continue to post tracerts from both times when I am lagging and times when I am not... 90% of the time when I am experiencing lag I can log on to s2 and there is no appreciable lag there and I was just wondering why that would be... Inquest mail should not be the cause of this in the middle of the month

Your lag is caused within your own ISPs network. Do a tracert of google.com while not in lag and durring lag for comparison.

First let me say that if the Lag was in my own network RWK would not be the only place I was lagging. Second as I stated I was not getting lag on S2 only on S1 so your argument doesn't make sense. Third every player on the server is complaining about lag simultaneously and unless every player in S1 lives where I do I doubt that is the problem. It is a consistent thing lately that I get major lag on S1 while there is none on S2. I also play several other games and do not experience lag going to those games so how it could be all on my end but RWK is the only place I have a problem IDK. But anyways here is another set of tracert done During lag.

a tracert isn't magic and is VERY limited on specific details and on timeframes, it takes comparisons and a pool of data.

Also do a tracert of S2 64.34.186.10 while this is happening, since the servers are in the same datacenter comparisons will be alot easyer.

Well, its no use for me to post my tracerts as it simply gets timed out, but i have been experiencing some very bad lag, current time is 8:49 est, and everyone else online atm is getting really bad lag, so its not just me.

I understood your post... I am not getting lag anywhere else and I did a tracert on both google and yahoo but I can't post them in the forums cause when I try it tells me I can't post links or pictures because I have fewer than 100 posts... my tracert to other sites looks similar to rwk but the difference is I don't get lag at other sites or on other games. I don't understand how you think its all on my end or in my network when the only place I'm getting lag is RWK server 1... I don't even get lag on server 2. it is a server specific problem.

I already logged s1 and discussed with you the issue, S1 was having some delay issues, non network related, Your tracert results do show some lag within your ISP's network, but earlyer today this was not the cause of the lag. But to narrow things down it takes more than one tracert and tracert of various sources. As my tracerts for s2 and s1 were identicle and there was delay on s1, it is not a network issue.

I can only asume the issue is high CPU load or IOWait times. Only jeff can confirm or tell us otherwise.

lag from hell is back as usual can someone please do something bout it its not the ping's can someone at least look into what the heck is causing all the lag for everyone. no one seems to give a crap bout posting in fourms but we all bitch in game so please this is nuts everyday and always 90% of the playing time its been lagging.

As to posting ping's and whatever we post them and its the same old story no lag well guess what its lagging big time.

Server 1 is currently lagging badly, slow responses, disappearing pm and system text, timeouts. Server 2 is fine. I've seen something again just now that I've noticed before. I logged in after an hour or so out of the game, and after a minute or so my chat window refreshed with the posts made after I logged in, but also showing a full acreen of text from before I exited the game an hour or more earlier. That only seems to happen when the server is lagging very badly. When I was playing earlier, Server 1 was responiging reasonably well, little or no lag.

I try not to complain but the lagg is getting more than a joke, i know all the **** about tracerts or whatever but from what i see even when they are posted were told its owr fault, i dont know about other people but since i started playing this game i have bought an new pc, upgraded my internet an im now paying for the fastest connection i can get in my area i have also spent a fair amount of money onr the game so i would at least expect someone to say more than its your fault, even if we were told that someone will logg an remain on to view the lagg for themselves would be something, its obvious to all who are on at the time off these "lagg spikes" that it cant be all of us at the same time so please look into it as pings etc seems not to work, thank you for your time ......

And lag is still here and getting worse just log'd back in and its the same as when I left so I am going to take that this game will alway have lag issuses and will always have lag as a part of the game as it has for the last couple of weeks. So I will be posting bout the lag in the future at all times and will learn to accept the fact that the game is a lag fest and will contiune to be one. But it will take me a very long time to come to terms with the fact I have to play the game with lag as much as I play so thanks for the lessons in patience gonna be a long lesson.
