Default sose for 250$ wwtfff

this update will bring down rwk.. and what about all the people that had to pay for the scepters and all upgrades for the sose, i mean we're getting shut out.

jeff you need to come up with a new strategy on thinking about this.. i mean ****, the economy will go to hell now.. personally i think this update is horrible.. if people want to be good on this game, they should pay more

It pisses everyone off but I doubt it will kill rwk, only people that will buy it are people that would of onlyb ought sos and ubers wanting to expand plexes... so SoSe is now the new SoS... Jeff will end up making less money and probably take it away quickly. So buy your extra kingdom holders quickly, this probably won't last long.

4th scepter for $200 would of been a better deal. Would get people to be able to build kingdoms and get them more into the game, then they will buy SP/BB and EEoA to finish their SoSe therefore jeff makes 450+ off each person instead of $250.
And doesn't butthurt people who have spent the hundreds with their hard earned paychecks to get srewed later.

should make EEoANT 4 for $50 to make it fair for the people who already have SoS/BB/SP. Same mathmaticly as SoSe for $250.

Maybe it's his way of giving back, or even have new players who haven't bought anything an incentive to play and get into it like the veterans. More noobs building kingdoms. Sounds great if they could afford to and halfway know what they're doing. I always wanted an Acumen alt and may now get one if it stays for a couple weeks, sounds great to me as i could care less about the economy.

And if you already have scepters it's a useless buy. It was intended for those with no sceptors, or nothing at all. I don't think it will cause too much havoc though, if even any. Will only know in a couple months when another group with scepters decide to take over the world. I think there may be some underlying source for this though. Acumen winners can use the credit to buy nuking friends, if only a couple. What else they going to use credit for anyways besides selling it to other players? This upgrade if used correctly could lead to something dangerous and/or more interesting. Just something to think about.

Um, i would edit it better, but i got no idea what you're talking about....

"RWK players are not allowed to write posts that do not contain:
1. Assertions of the game's impending failure
2. A list of contradictory reasons why this hurts both low and high end players
3. General hysteria and nancypants-ed-ness."-Glitchless

That DO NOT contain. So i have to make assertions, contradict, and make everyone paranoid? The way it sounds you don't want anyone saying anything good about any changes. So i should have posted "This game is epicfail since this upgrade came out. High end players will be hurt along with low end players, since its unfair somehow maybe. L33t boss pwners will take over every kingdom, so give up. complain, moan, cry, my tiny pen... blah blah." ?

No but really, I don't get it. Please be a little more clearer when explaining why my post is not fit for forums. And I'm not from the "nancypants-ed-ness" era, so I got no idea wth that means.

My thoughts on this deal:

1. The power structure.
The current RWK leaders, known fondly as "ubers" will NOT be the immediate winners with this deal. They cannot spend their Acumen credit to get the SoSe deal, and are unlikely to spend their wages/salaries on RWK. As one who was gained $1500+ in RWK credit, I can attest to the fact that serious Acumen competitors don't spend money on RWK. The only thing they can do with Acumen is sell the credit in the form of EEoA's and use that for SoSe. But who would buy the EEoA's when they can just get SoSe?

2. The middle class.
The veteran players are the initial targeted market for those EEoA's. These are players who already have SoSe and will likely not purchase the package on another character. First, they will get Shadows on their mains. This requires ash. So far we have one class of player that may buy this package and one that won't, widening the gap in power between the ubers and the vets. But what about...

3. The unwashed masses.
This is the prime target for the SoSe deal: noobs. Once they start biting, the term access noob will evolve into SoSe noob. These players will know little to nothing about beasts, kingdoms, Acumen, but they will have access to it all. They will get their taste of power, and they will become more fiercely addicted to it than any heroin junkie ever was.

Now that we know the players, let's look at...

4. The aftermath.
Ubers will continue to win Acumen, and will sell their credit. SoSe noobs and veterans alike will jump at the EEoA's, quickly driving the price up - I imagine it will be $45 each soon. Smart ubers will sell six EEoA's, at $45 each, getting $270 - enough to get a new SoSe and lunch. The remaining nine (plus 24k ash on winning char) will be used getting seven Shadows. Most ubers have enough chars, though, that they can get four chars into second round of Acumen, getting the 6kx4 ash needed to get the first round of upgrades (Demo to Earthen) done without touching the EEoA's. The character now has eight Shadows and 10k ash left. Uber just got a fully shadowed SoSe monk with a private beast. The vets and noobs got a maximum of five or six shadows out of it. Within two months (based on time needed to get appros), through the use of a DXDev skill suit, the uber will have another fully capable Acumen entry.

5. The final summary.
Who wins in all this? The uber class gets a new SoSe char each month, starting two months after they start the plan above. The veterans may finally get that full Shadow suit and might buy another SoSe, but I doubt it - they will see that they are still failing in Acumen because they don't have the suits to win. The noobs will fail miserably, with no knowledge of how to suit, how to run a plex, or how to duel effectively. Many veterans will quit, selling off their now grossly undervalued assets to either A) other veterans or B) noobs. Group A would likely only buy up DxDev's. Group B would likely just up and leave, realizing how much money they spent to get nowhere. The ubers keep widening the power gap until the remaining vets/noobs stop buying EEoA's. And the winner is...

6. Jeff.
Jeff, as much as I hate to join the doomsayers here, I cannot see this going well over an extended period of time. I sincerely hope this package goes the way of the Christmas DxDev special so long ago - out the window shortly after it arrives. The only true winner here is Jeff. He will make a ton off the deal if it becomes permanent - until the noobs quit, the vets stop buying EEoA's, and the ubers are no longer funded by Acumen. Once this happens Jeff will likely remove the deal, restoring value to SoSe - but it will be too late. The ubers will have widened the gap so much that the veterans are completely discouraged from trying. The excess SoSe characters will be worth even less now due to a generally defeated attitude. Acumen credit will be spent getting more DxDev's to have more simultaneous fully suited Acumen entries per uber player. Credit will lose value as the player market for credit sales will plummet, again due to the broken spirit of the veterans. Ubers will engage in a perpetual pissing contest to see who can get the most SoSe's/DxDev's, just like they do now. Nothing changes for them, except that they can compete more freely. Only one who comes out ahead is the shrewd businessman who launched this "innovation" - Jeff.

======================================

Again - my intent is not to join the ever-increasing ranks of old(ish) school players who have become crotchety, antiquated and generally irrational when it comes to new changes in game dynamics. But I can only see the effects of this update as ruinous to RWK as a whole. Now that I've posted the strat for the ubers to follow, I'm sure they'll jump right on that idea and ride this "deal" out until either it dies, they die, or RWK dies.

Something's gotta give, Jeff.
