Default Almez getting banned

Almez was banned just moments ago but I was paying attention/hitting individual keys.

When I multi-window, I play at half screen to see both chars. Sometimes I have more windows on standby just in case there's a beast. I was doing certain actions (like ashing, bezzing, poker) in ways I don't always see the chat window.

I had commented before about different sec checks and that it was strange and I wasn't used to it, and my old habits just kicked in since I pretty much use muscle memory at this point to ash or bezz. I was on autopilot and only reacted to significant changes in the rwk interface, less so if nothing was moving, and I was watching youtube videos at the same time

Half screen, and even smaller screens (when I play at work, which is really dangerous)

If I'm guilty of anything, it definitely is not paying enough attention to the changes in the rwk security checks. I had passed it the first time, but 10+years of playing doesnt help with forming new habits.

Asked a different way, I'm asking glitchless to unban the characters and let the sec check failure slide and I apologize for not paying attention.

OK, good. I wanted to get you locked into a story that you could not change without incriminating yourself. Based on those images, you could see plenty of the interface. That's fine. I've specifically stated (and it should be self-evident, since there are security checks) that if you are clicking, you need to be able to see chat/security box, and be aware of what the hell you're actually doing.

What you are guilty of (you know this, this is for the benefit of other readers) is semi-attended macroing, botting, and/or automation. You have your macro running (or you're spam-activating it manually, it doesn't matter) and you check in on it every so often to see if there has been a security check. And you had, recently checked it, since you failed a check and then passed a check. Passing that check probably gave you the confidence to leave it for a while.

In your most recent e-mail you stated the following:

"One thing I did not mention specifically is that I do use macros to send actions to multiple windows and i don't use loops or anything like that (helps with being undetected playing at work at least when people are looking at your screen). it works such that if I press f, a or p, these actions are sent to multiple windows."

Multiboxing is allowed. Having 1 key press go to multiple windows is allowed. None of that, when done legitimately, would help hide what you are doing from your coworkers.

So now--all of a sudden--it sounds like you're sending actions to windows that you can't see. Ruh roh, we're getting into naughty territory now.

Here is what I see (green blocks potentially private info, IP addresses and another character report)

This went on for a quite a while, something like 75 fights start, 75 cast kills (already bannable), and then you start ashing. You must have been *very* distracted to be ashing and not notice that this whole time your chat screen was filling up with purple messages telling you to stop what you were doing, and that none of your fights were actually happening. And then, after you're done ashing, you start fighting again--all the while locked, none of the ash attempts having succeeded, and you being told repeatedly to stop what you are doing and respond.

Here's the clincher - not that it's necessary.

There's a 4,000 hourly real-action move limit. A very highly-active RWK player will get 32,000 actions in a day. When you were banned, you had done over 64,000 real actions in the past 24 hours on that character alone.

So you're showing screenshots that look like "Hey, I play legit, these are my windows! Don't they look like yours?", yet you're not responding to things that a human would, you're implying that you sometimes don't see the screen and conflating that with multiboxing, you're transitioning from fighting/casting to ashing and back again without realizing that you've accomplished none of those things, and you're doing nearly-inhuman amounts of actions to boot.

For further clarity, this is from the ToU:

"AUTOMATION OF ANY KIND IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED AND WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE EXPULSION AND/OR CRIMINAL PROSECUTION. AUTOMATION IS DEFINED AS ANY ACTIONS SENT TO THE GAME SERVER WHILE NOT RESPONDING TO REQUESTS MADE BY THE GAME REQUIRING HUMAN RESPONSE. SUCH REQUESTS MAY BE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO STOPPING WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND INTELLIGENTLY RESPONDING TO A MODERATOR, OR PASSING A MATHEMATIC/COUNTING TEST. It is illegal to continue to make game actions if you are not coherently paying attention to the game action so that you will be able to respond to these requests. Failure to do so will result in banning of all the accounts recently accessed by your computer."

We define automation that way on purpose, so people cannot use the excuse "oh I just wasn't paying attention when locked" and get away with cheating.
