Merge servers

I was discussing with the boys about how it would be badass if you could merge the two servers, have s2 kd maps show up as an addition to the maps. Then double up the kingdom space, making the maps 600x600 per plane.

You would keep S1 on the lower left quadrant(000-299,sur,000-299) will all original special locs, keep s2 on the lower right(300-599,sur,000-299), the visual map would just be a mirror image of current map for ports etc (those would have to have new names), but only special locs would appear for the lower left quadrant. You could have new locs appear on the other additions in the northern hemisphere of each plane.

Allow S2 players to do a basic move over to s1 with all their gear and chars as they are, and for those with a conflict in name give a free name swap.

I know you've been saying no to merging, but maybe one of these days you'll say yes!

Just leave it at double, and don't quadruple space. just adding the planes together would be more than enough. too much open space would drive down the war potential.

As the person with the MOST kingdoms on s2 i wouldn't mind a full server merge. so IF the person with the most kds don't mind i think you should ignore the noob who cry over losing 400 kds and make it happen

There's no reason to merge. The difference in activity isn't even that large. You guys just don't know how to chat on S2. A chat merge is a possibility, a server merge is not.

Honestly merging chats would make it seem so much more lively on both servers. System wide messages would only appear on their respective server but player chat messages, and kingdom war messages would be interesting to see cross server.

What about a way to facilitate trades between servers? I think that would really open up some potential.

I think it would be very cool to have the S1 winner vs the S2 winner. It would help increase interest I am certain.

I don't think the issue is difference in activity.. it's the fact that both servers are roughly the same.. and that "same" level is pretty quiet. It's not about one server being greater than the other. It's combining the small population to make it a more active environment.
I mean idc about the merge either way.

To be fair everyone is butt buddies on both servers, I've been on both plenty...

That being said the idea of a merge is to increase the competition level on ONE key server to make it exciting to play again.

As L337 said - both servers are quite quiet in the scheme overall without botters, my purpose has been to make RWK exciting again to keep players interested. To the point where I've given out tons of **** to S2 players so that they can hop onto S1 and give it a whirl. It is taking a long time but there is interest.

IDK - Fundamentally the need for 2 servers is no longer present since activity, while going through peaks and valleys, is systematically lower than 15 years ago when S2 was introduced

So yeah.. now that Almez is gone, There is almost no real competition on s2. Between team wafer and Niiz and Ribs theres only 3 teams competing with enough gear to influence outcome.
