My connection to RWK is bad, but it's good to other sites. Why?
Since the connection is horrible for some and fine for others, it is likely a routing issue. Here is what you can do to help us find the problem if and when you are experiencing lag:
We need your help in gathering more information so that we can diagnose and have our datacenter attempt to reroute your traffic to avoid a faulty or overloaded node. For initial diagnosis the best tool available is MTR, which provides us with complete information over time about your the path your data takes to our network.
For Windows, WinMTR is available here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/winmtr/
For Mac OS X installers are available here:
http://www.finkproject.org/download/
Most modern Macintosh systems will require download of the Intel dmg. Once Fink is installed "fink install mtr" from the terminal will allow you to use MTR. (Note that OS X 10.7 Lion systems require sudo privileges to run MTR.)
For Linux:
Linux operating systems typically have an installation via package managers. If you can't find an easily installable implementation please provide your distribution and we can provide appropriate instructions.
1. Run WinMTR.exe
2. Enter
www.racewarkingdoms.com as the host
3. Press Start and wait for 5 minutes of data to collect
4. Press Copy the text to clipboard and paste it to us in an e-mail. Don't paste on the forums.
