Official Dueling
Well not really official, let's say i want to challenge someone to a duel and not wager gold upon a loss. It would be nice to go to options, choose a duel competitor, set an ash wager upon loss, and send it to them. If they choose to accept they will be teleported to their location and have battle options, the player who issued the duel will recieve a 'FIGHT' message and target the challenger. The winner is displayed in yellow chat like 'Tatiana has slain Soul Thrift in a duel, winning 2,000 ash!' (I chose Tat for that acumen win, if it matters). Soul Thrift loses 1,000 ash and Tatiana will gain 1,000 ash, or whatever other amount both players have to wager. The challenger will then have to leave that location manually, winner or not. The only restrictions are that your private message color must match to duel, it cant be over 10,000 ash, and you can only duel once a day. The message color for fairness, 10,000 ash because i would cry if i lost, and once a day to discourage abuse.

that could be easily abused by people moving ash from mules to main chars

Agreed with Flashus. Too easy to exploit, unless you made it so only red PMs can duel officially, and even then you could exploit it to a certain degree.

In the christmas wishlist i suggested a daily brawl tournament thing. all level, winner gets 2k ash. maybe have a limit that a char can only win once a week. that'd make it so each winner would get a max of 60k ash a month (not that much but still worth it), or a single char getting around 8k max.

Yeah, basically it's a good idea, but.. people always try to use things for a purpose that they were not intended for.. For example hades could probably collect enough ash from a single acumen, then move it among the characters to a single char to make a DD.

Well ok, maybe 10k is a little steep, it doesnt have to be that high, maybe only 1k total then. 500 from both players. And if Hades did want to do that, they would have already figured out to play poker. There are times when no one plays where you can easily log mules, bet max, then fold all but one. Hell, have all them use their mules and fold to one or two players. 10 ash times (5 plus n), 5 mains where n equals mules. n equal ten (two mules each player), thats 150 ash in 80 seconds with 5 seperate computers each with 3 different screens for one winner. Since trading is allowed at level 10 and you get ash lotto for mules, there is an excess amount of ash to be obtained. Max gamble at 500 or even 250, either way something gets exploited. Remember advertising, swimsuit votes, mentoring before the level 10 trade rule? I also think that the challenger could be a lower level, if they know they are facing a higher level, but ash would be lower like 50 or so max.

Hades knows how to play poker. Poker is a waste of time. Transferring hundreds/thousands of ash in a few seconds isn't a waste of time.

rag, are you back on the drugs again? or is it just the caffine(sp)?
but, i like the idea of being able to duel for a set number of ash outside of acumen. i agree, it would need to have stipulations and other fun stuffs, otherwise, what would keep someone from making 10 mules, waiting till they all had 1k and then moving it. and dont forget the people that have over 40 chars. would be an easy way to move a huge chunk of ash with very little effort. wait, i like that idea.... *shifty eyes*
