10 second delay

Could we make it 5 seconds? I understand the idea behind it, and I know it seems like a moot point, but 10 seconds is quite frustrating.

Just a suggestion. I have no idea if you even care, but I feel better for complaining about it with the possibility that someone important than anyone on S2 will read it.

If i'm not mistaken the higher your haste the less delay it is. with 99 haste it should be around 5 seconds.

Yeah I thought it got faster than 10 seconds as well but I wasn't sure and didn't want to look dumb so I didn't post it.

the 10 second delay does not change with your haste.

If it aint broke, don't fix it. its already ben deducted before and has stayed 10 for years, no need to change it. If your good at clicking anyway you can time it just right. and the only way to get a 10sec is by typeing /dis. If you dont like them then dont /dis.

I have never typed /dis, but I get them all the time.

You can get them without typing /dis but you have to repeatidly click whilst the delay bar is counting down.

I don't do that either- I don't do anything weird or anything like that... I've noticed it more when playing poker, I'll click a command in the poker game, and the delay bar instantly disappears.

Yeah, it's an anomaly/bug, sometimes the delay bar disappears when doing certain actions. Also, doing an action just before the delay bar is done but with good enough timing you don't get a 10 sec will make your next delay bar a lot faster but the server does not actually reduce its wait time. It's also common to get a 10 sec by attempting to do an action after it times out, at which point both clicks might be processed at the same time. No, haste does not affect 10 secs, and it is already possible to exploit 10 secs to make longer delays short (for example the long ass delay for sailing. If you force a 10 sec then that's all the time you've got to wait). 5 second delays would be nice but only if it's fixed so you can't exploit it.

I have noticed that most 10 sec's occur when clicking the submit buttons. I dont see it happen with the other buttons such as the battle icons or the temporary buttons next to chat

The temporary buttons next to chat for the most part don't have any delay, due to being chat shortcuts. The reason submits give 10 secs is because usually the thing with the most delay is whatever you've just done previous to that. That'd be my guess anyway.
